Remove the battery from the flashlight periodically (about monthly) and visually inspect it for signs of gas or chemical leakage. If the flashlight with this battery is not going to be used for a long time, it is recommended that the battery be removed from the flashlight. Charge the battery periodically to avoid deep discharge. Deeply discharged batteries cannot be recharged!
