The flashlight uses a specialized Green Spectrum LED light engine rather than a conventional white LED. Green illumination is particularly useful outdoors because many animals, insects, and fish typically react less to a green LED light source. The human eye also responds strongly to green light, making it useful for nighttime observation and applications where visible green illumination is preferred.

The LED system incorporates LED Heat-Sink Technology to help manage heat generated by the LED and support dependable operation within the compact aluminum flashlight.
